Michael A. "Andy" Martinez joined Thompson & Reilley, P.C. as a senior associate in May 2015. Mr. Martinez earned his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993, and earned his J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law in 1997. After graduating from law school, Mr. Martinez served as law clerk to Judge Jane Bland of the 281 Texas, and as assistant briefing attorney to Magistrate Judge Mary Milloy of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Mr. Martinez has successfully defended businesses and individuals in many types of litigation, including product and premises liability, construction defects, trucking and auto accidents, dram shop, breach of contract, general property damage, DTPA, and wrongful death and other catastrophic damages cases. He has also advised business owners in relation to warranty and other customerrelated claims, product manual and literature development, customer and employee policies, contracts and other business agreements, corporate/business structuring and formation, and product liability issues. He has practiced before the county, district, and appellate courts in the State of Texas as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
Mr. Martinez was born and raised in Houston, Texas, graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
